Narrative:

After departure from pit our aircraft did not pressurize. We selected standby on the pressurization panel with no effect, then selected manual and closed the outflow valve, with no effect. Cabin was climbing with aircraft. Flight attendant advised there was a lot of air noise around main passenger door. I elected to return to pit and landed with no further problems. There were no master caution lights, and no door lights illuminated, at any time. Apparently, main cabin door did not seat properly.
