Narrative:
I was the captain and PF when we landed at orlando without contacting orlando tower. The approach and landing was routine with the exception that I intentionally made a slightly high profile, low power and fuel burn approach. Approach control never turned us over to tower and we didn't effect the switch- over ourselves. We didn't notice our error until we asked for permission to cross runway 18L and approach control responded and told us to switch to tower. I believe our oversight was due to complacency because of the beautiful WX at orlando, and I suspect that the fact that my approach was slightly different from the norm distracted us somewhat. We also experienced numerous TA's on the TCASII while making our approach which contributed to the distrs.
