Narrative:
At rotation, fire warning system announced 'fire right engine,' no other warning indications and engine appeared normal. Emergency declared with atlanta tower. Right engine shutdown as per checklist. Entered downwind vector pattern and received clearance to land on runway 27L. Landed without incident. Maintenance advises a faulty fire control unit was cause of aural warning.

Narrative: AT ROTATION, FIRE WARNING SYS ANNOUNCED 'FIRE R ENG,' NO OTHER WARNING INDICATIONS AND ENG APPEARED NORMAL. EMER DECLARED WITH ATLANTA TWR. R ENG SHUTDOWN AS PER CHKLIST. ENTERED DOWNWIND VECTOR PATTERN AND RECEIVED CLRNC TO LAND ON RWY 27L. LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. MAINT ADVISES A FAULTY FIRE CTL UNIT WAS CAUSE OF AURAL WARNING.
