Narrative:
Had an ex-crew scheduler for our regional airline (now employed in a similar capacity by the code-share partner) on board. Not a certificated airman! He asked flight attendant to visit cockpit en route and without checking with me, the dumb south___ flight attendant opened the cockpit door and let him into my cockpit!! I asked non-revenue passenger if he was a licensed airman and he said no. I politely told him that the cockpit was off limits to non-certificated personnel. He left. Flight attendant manual has listing of who is allowed into cockpit and procedures to be used to allow people into cockpit. The flight attendant simply didn't think and, as a result, put me and my first officer into a violation situation. P.south., yes, the flight attendant and I had a long chat after we landed. I didn't report him to his supervisor cause he's basically a nice guy. But I told him that if the feds come after me, I'm gonna burn him.
