Narrative:
Our flight plan routing for the flight from dfw to abq was the ft worth 5 departure txo miera 2 abq. This information was loaded into the FMS by the first officer during preflight, and later verified by the captain when we received the printed pre-departure clearance (pre departure clearance) from the gate agent. We failed to note that a change had been made in our departure instructions. The ATC clearance routing stated dfw 274 radial kwick cth txo then as filed. On departure from runway 17R at dfw, the controller stated turn right to a heading of 290 degrees and intercept the outbound radial (the controller never stated which radial to intercept, and although it is not required, this is usually done by the controllers at dfw during departure). We intercepted the 262 degree radial from dfw as in accordance with the worth 5 departure, txo transition. The controller asked us our heading just after we intercepted the radial. We told him 265 degrees, and he said, turn right to a 300 degree heading, you are supposed to intercept and fly the 274 degree radial outbound. We complied with his instructions and flew the remainder of the flight as cleared. Although we clearly missed seeing the change to our routine on the pre-departure clearance, there were several contributing factors to this occurrence. The flight crew changed gates in dfw and arrived at the departure gate for our flight after the scheduled departure time due to bad WX at the dfw airport. Arriving at the gate, the captain was met by an FAA inspector (maintenance) who had flown in on this aircraft from the previous flight, and was very disturbed about a maintenance write- up in the logbook concerning throttle rigging out of alignment. The captain contacted the line mechanic, and then a lead mechanic and maintenance supervisor became involved. This discussion and clarification took approximately 15 mins to clear the aircraft for flight. When the captain finally was able to get in his seat, the checklists, crew briefings, and paperwork review were completed in an expeditious manner. When the captain reviewed the pre-departure clearance, just prior to pushback, he inadvertently looked at the flight plan routine information only, and did not notice the change in the ATC clearance routing.

Title: HDG TRACK DEV IN A NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC INSTRUCTION. PRE-DEP CLRNC PROCS IN USE.
Narrative: OUR FLT PLAN RTING FOR THE FLT FROM DFW TO ABQ WAS THE FT WORTH 5 DEP TXO MIERA 2 ABQ. THIS INFO WAS LOADED INTO THE FMS BY THE FO DURING PREFLT, AND LATER VERIFIED BY THE CAPT WHEN WE RECEIVED THE PRINTED PRE-DEP CLRNC (PDC) FROM THE GATE AGENT. ALTHOUGH WE CLRLY MISSED SEEING THE CHANGE TO OUR ROUTINE ON THE PRE-DEP CLRNC, THERE WERE SEVERAL CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO THIS OCCURRENCE. THE FLC CHANGED GATES IN DFW AND ARRIVED AT THE DEP GATE FOR OUR FLT AFTER THE SCHEDULED DEP TIME DUE TO BAD WX AT THE DFW ARPT. ARRIVING AT THE GATE, THE CAPT WAS MET BY AN FAA INSPECTOR (MAINT) WHO HAD FLOWN IN ON THIS ACFT FROM THE PREVIOUS FLT, AND WAS VERY DISTURBED ABOUT A MAINT WRITE- UP IN THE LOGBOOK CONCERNING THROTTLE RIGGING OUT OF ALIGNMENT.
