Narrative:

We were cleared for visual to runway 24L. An air carrier B widebody transport was cleared for visual to runway 24R. In order to avoid the widebody transport's wake, we elected to fly over their flight path by 500 ft. This was approved by approach. Then on final, the widebody transport appeared south of course. We flew along side but below him to avoid his wake behind him. If we were to fly above him we would have had to deal with the scattered clouds above us. Due to wake, the only place we could safely be was along side of the widebody transport.
