Narrative:

Aircraft at FL330, 20 mi south of champ. Intermittent warning horn sounded. Informed the captain that the cabin was at 10200 ft. An emergency descent was initiated with a turn to the west and off track, down to 10000 ft. Clearance was received back to champ and then to kennedy. Their were no passenger injuries. However, 1 passenger while still airborne complained of chest pains. Flight attendant informed me that passenger was also grieving a family member. I cannot say if this attributed to his condition. We acted in accordance to procedures at this point described as, 'red box items.' no problems were noted in duct pressures, packs, or bleeds. Landed at jfk without further incident. Our single passenger complaining of chest pains was approximately 35 yrs of age, male, and received medical attention at jfk. Supplemental information from acn 238853: the flight engineer notified the captain who initiated descent and a right turn off course. We attempted contact with ATC on 129.9, 6577, and 8846 to no avail. We also called on 130.55 and 121.50 and another aircraft answered. He relayed to ATC that we were descending to 10000 and turning right off of A300. He gave us another HF frequency that we tried also to no avail. At 10000 ft we were able to relay through the initial aircraft that was helping us plus another air carrier aircraft. We were cleared to ewr and subsequently to jfk. We made an uneventful landing at jfk.
