Narrative:
Columbus, GA (csg) airport diagram plates 10-11 and back side of 11-1 commercial chart volume 1 are in error such that if followed, one could run off a 10 ft embankment down into a small creek, severely damaging an aircraft. Both plates show a taxiway connector that does not exist. Plate 10-11 in the upper right hand corner under the north allow shows that the terminal ramp east side has a connector to taxiway C. In actuality, the ramp does not extend out to taxiway C, only 1/2 way, the rest is open ground and ravine. Plate 11-1 is so old it does not even show the newer passenger terminal but it does show the same non existent taxiway connector from the eastern corner of the ramp to taxiway C. This is shown just above the airport reference point symbol. I discovered this error when cleared to taxi from gate X via C to runway 23. This error needs to be corrected before someone taxies over the embankment into the ravine on a dark, stormy night because he was following his taxi plates.

Title: RPTR ALLEGES THAT A CHART ERROR COULD POSSIBLY LEAD TO AN ACFT TAXIING INTO A 10 FT RAVINE.
Narrative: COLUMBUS, GA (CSG) ARPT DIAGRAM PLATES 10-11 AND BACK SIDE OF 11-1 COMMERCIAL CHART VOLUME 1 ARE IN ERROR SUCH THAT IF FOLLOWED, ONE COULD RUN OFF A 10 FT EMBANKMENT DOWN INTO A SMALL CREEK, SEVERELY DAMAGING AN ACFT. BOTH PLATES SHOW A TXWY CONNECTOR THAT DOES NOT EXIST. PLATE 10-11 IN THE UPPER R HAND CORNER UNDER THE N ALLOW SHOWS THAT THE TERMINAL RAMP E SIDE HAS A CONNECTOR TO TXWY C. IN ACTUALITY, THE RAMP DOES NOT EXTEND OUT TO TXWY C, ONLY 1/2 WAY, THE REST IS OPEN GND AND RAVINE. PLATE 11-1 IS SO OLD IT DOES NOT EVEN SHOW THE NEWER PAX TERMINAL BUT IT DOES SHOW THE SAME NON EXISTENT TXWY CONNECTOR FROM THE EASTERN CORNER OF THE RAMP TO TXWY C. THIS IS SHOWN JUST ABOVE THE ARPT REF POINT SYMBOL. I DISCOVERED THIS ERROR WHEN CLRED TO TAXI FROM GATE X VIA C TO RWY 23. THIS ERROR NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED BEFORE SOMEONE TAXIES OVER THE EMBANKMENT INTO THE RAVINE ON A DARK, STORMY NIGHT BECAUSE HE WAS FOLLOWING HIS TAXI PLATES.
