Narrative:
I'm a student. I flew a solo cross country from nashua to north central. Nearly to my destination I became disoriented, but kept continuing on my present course. I located north central and flew to it and did a touch-and-go, then proceeded back to nashua. While on the way back, I saw an airport that looked more like north central than the one I had gone to. When I arrived back at nashua, I checked my sectional and discovered that it was providence that I flew to. I informed my instructor of what I had done and we went over my mistakes. I never got flight following from boston approach. I exercised poor judgement to continue on present course when I was disoriented. I could have done a VOR xchk to determine my position. It was poor judgement to continue back to nashua when I saw an airport that looked more like my destination that the one I went to. I was also concentrating so much on staying out of the boston TCA that when I noticed an airport that had the same runways as my destination, I went right for it.
