Narrative:
Was given clearance of 'after reaching FL230, cross wever intersection at and maintain 8000 ft.' I entered wever intersection on the LORAN flight plan, but inadvertently after famin intersection, which was already my next waypoint, though further away. The time to wever intersection was calculated for going beyond it to famin, then back to wever. I used this time to calculate my start descent time. By that time I realized I was too close to get down in time. I wasted valuable time trying to figure out why my DME told me I was almost to wever intersection when the LORAN said I had mi to go. Should have crosschecked sooner.
