Narrative:
A smoke warning light illuminated shortly after takeoff immediately after gear retraction. Aircraft remained in pattern, completed smoke warning in flight checklists, called for emergency equipment and landed. Immediately upon landing the light went out, system was tested. Airplane taxied to gate where the first officer inspected the baggage compartment for smoke fire. Crash fire rescue equipment inspected for smoke/fire with negative results. Passenger deplaned. No injuries. Light may have been activated by condensation in baggage compartment.

Title: COMMUTER ACFT HAS WARNING LIGHT FOR SMOKE ILLUMINATE. RETURN LAND.
Narrative: A SMOKE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED SHORTLY AFTER TKOF IMMEDIATELY AFTER GEAR RETRACTION. ACFT REMAINED IN PATTERN, COMPLETED SMOKE WARNING IN FLT CHKLISTS, CALLED FOR EMER EQUIP AND LANDED. IMMEDIATELY UPON LNDG THE LIGHT WENT OUT, SYS WAS TESTED. AIRPLANE TAXIED TO GATE WHERE THE FO INSPECTED THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT FOR SMOKE FIRE. CFR INSPECTED FOR SMOKE/FIRE WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS. PAX DEPLANED. NO INJURIES. LIGHT MAY HAVE BEEN ACTIVATED BY CONDENSATION IN BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT.
