Narrative:
While taxiing to shore, seaplane wxvaned into wind upon reduction of power and struck boat which was on a 'shore station' suspended above water at a dock. No damage to the aircraft. Tore canvas cover on bow of boat and broke aluminum trim strip. Allow more room for wxvaning tendency in the future.

Narrative: WHILE TAXIING TO SHORE, SEAPLANE WXVANED INTO WIND UPON REDUCTION OF PWR AND STRUCK BOAT WHICH WAS ON A 'SHORE STATION' SUSPENDED ABOVE WATER AT A DOCK. NO DAMAGE TO THE ACFT.
