Narrative:
Our pre departure clearance showed an amendment to our route but I didn't realize it until I turned to intercept the planned route. ATC asked where we were going, which was my first clue I was off course. The amendment procedure on pdcs is terrible. It is a built-in trap!

Title: NAV ERROR. DID NOT NOTICE A CLRNC AMENDMENT ON THE PDC.
Narrative: OUR PDC SHOWED AN AMENDMENT TO OUR RTE BUT I DIDN'T REALIZE IT UNTIL I TURNED TO INTERCEPT THE PLANNED RTE. ATC ASKED WHERE WE WERE GOING, WHICH WAS MY FIRST CLUE I WAS OFF COURSE. THE AMENDMENT PROC ON PDCS IS TERRIBLE. IT IS A BUILT-IN TRAP!
