Narrative:

I was on a VFR flight from ft wayne to independence, mo, with a planned fuel stop along the way. As I was approaching the quincy area, the WX started to deteriorate, so I decided to stop at quincy (uin). I called the unicom and was given winds and runway and proceeded to land. After I was on the ground, a departing aircraft informed me that I had landed at an airport with a control zone below VFR minimums. After looking at the sectional chart again, I realized this. In retrospect, I didn't expect to see a control zone at an uncontrolled airport and so I didn't notice it on the chart. I am much the wiser now.
