Narrative:
We declared emergency fuel en route from den to ord. Initially we were rerted due to en route WX. As we arrived in the ord area the airport was closed to all arrs. No alternate was required prior to departing den. We picked mke for the alternate, however, en route to mke we were informed that a thunderstorm was over the field. At this point, with the fuel state remaining, we made a decision to land at grr in VFR conditions.
