Narrative:
Regarding an FAA records inspection. (I have no proper reporting form for this report.) on jun/thu/93, our principal operations inspector inspected records I am required to keep under far 135.63, far 135.267. Clerical mistakes were found on flight and duty forms which have now been corrected. These errors were not violations of any FARS. This inspector accused me of violating far 135.267 in regards to a duty assignment accepted without the required 10 hours rest required prior to this assignment. This was not the case. A clerical error has been found and corrected, and is substantiated by logbooks and other records. This inspection was unannounced, which is not customary with this FSDO. This has been done only once before during my tenure as director of operations. During the previous unannounced inspection, this same inspector accused me of violating far 135.63. This was due to his erroneous interpretation of FARS, which I pointed out in correspondence to this FSDO concerned. He is again erroneously interpreting FARS. I would like to include this in this report, but I have not received any official correspondence from this FSDO. I will include this in another report.

Title: DIRECTOR OF OPS DISPUTES THE FINDINGS OF AN FAA FSDO RECORDS CHK AND THE UNANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CHK.
Narrative: REGARDING AN FAA RECORDS INSPECTION. (I HAVE NO PROPER RPTING FORM FOR THIS RPT.) ON JUN/THU/93, OUR PRINCIPAL OPS INSPECTOR INSPECTED RECORDS I AM REQUIRED TO KEEP UNDER FAR 135.63, FAR 135.267. CLERICAL MISTAKES WERE FOUND ON FLT AND DUTY FORMS WHICH HAVE NOW BEEN CORRECTED. THESE ERRORS WERE NOT VIOLATIONS OF ANY FARS. THIS INSPECTOR ACCUSED ME OF VIOLATING FAR 135.267 IN REGARDS TO A DUTY ASSIGNMENT ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE REQUIRED 10 HRS REST REQUIRED PRIOR TO THIS ASSIGNMENT. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. A CLERICAL ERROR HAS BEEN FOUND AND CORRECTED, AND IS SUBSTANTIATED BY LOGBOOKS AND OTHER RECORDS. THIS INSPECTION WAS UNANNOUNCED, WHICH IS NOT CUSTOMARY WITH THIS FSDO. THIS HAS BEEN DONE ONLY ONCE BEFORE DURING MY TENURE AS DIRECTOR OF OPS. DURING THE PREVIOUS UNANNOUNCED INSPECTION, THIS SAME INSPECTOR ACCUSED ME OF VIOLATING FAR 135.63. THIS WAS DUE TO HIS ERRONEOUS INTERP OF FARS, WHICH I POINTED OUT IN CORRESPONDENCE TO THIS FSDO CONCERNED. HE IS AGAIN ERRONEOUSLY INTERPRETING FARS. I WOULD LIKE TO INCLUDE THIS IN THIS RPT, BUT I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE FROM THIS FSDO. I WILL INCLUDE THIS IN ANOTHER RPT.
