Narrative:
Air carrier X while descending into sju, approach control cleared us to descend to 8000 ft. While descending through 11000 ft we got a TCASII TA and RA. This conflict was due to the fact sju approach control had cleared us to descend to 8000 ft while in the vicinity of widebody transport crossing our flight path level at 10000 ft. We followed TCASII climb instructions and advised ATC. ATC acknowledged but said nothing about the traffic conflict. Resumed descent after clear of conflict.
