Narrative:

Air carrier X departed dtw to acy. During climb out, was issued a clearance to climb from 11000 ft to 15000 ft. Also was instructed to increase speed to 300 KTS or greater. After that clearance, was told to 'hurry' through 13000 ft and was handed off to another controller. When checking in, stated that we were through 13000 ft and accelerating again to 300 KTS. Again was handed off to another sector with ZOB. At 2 frequency changes since original clearance, was told to call collect to a quality assurance supervisor regarding 'a possible pilot deviation from a speed restriction.' I, along with my first officer, immediately were at a loss to see what we did wrong. We read back all clrncs and were complying with all instructions. In retrospect, use of more standard phraseology by ATC might have prevented any possible problems or deviations.
