Narrative:
I was PF tpa-fll. Summertime thunderstorms everywhere. Very high pilot and controller workload. Talking with mia approach, he vectored us for a visual approach to 27R. On a high final about 3 mi out, we realized we were on final for 27R at mia, not fll. We broke off the approach, and the first officer asked the controller which airport he thought we were going to. He answered mia. We then took vectors for a visual approach to 27R at fll and landed.

Narrative: I WAS PF TPA-FLL. SUMMERTIME TSTMS EVERYWHERE. VERY HIGH PLT AND CTLR WORKLOAD. TALKING WITH MIA APCH, HE VECTORED US FOR A VISUAL APCH TO 27R. ON A HIGH FINAL ABOUT 3 MI OUT, WE REALIZED WE WERE ON FINAL FOR 27R AT MIA, NOT FLL. WE BROKE OFF THE APCH, AND THE FO ASKED THE CTLR WHICH ARPT HE THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO. HE ANSWERED MIA. WE THEN TOOK VECTORS FOR A VISUAL APCH TO 27R AT FLL AND LANDED.
