Narrative:
I was advised, by phone, that company management felt my en route line check had lapsed. I told them I personally felt, based on our operations manual and the fact that my computer audit track indicated 'needs line check' and did not indicate said check had lapsed, that I was in my grace month. My annual recurrent training was in jan/93 and my line check due, according to the operations manual, 6 months later (jul) plus or minus 1 month (aug). After discussion, I was removed from my next flight and given a line check on my next flight. I felt all along that based on information available to me in the operations manual and on the computer audit track that I was not lapsed in regard to this line check. Clarification of company and FAA manuals/procedures, etc, needs to be accomplished to avoid this type of confusion.
