Narrative:

During a landing at a company owned housing development, helicopter created a large dust cloud. Ground was thought to be well prepared and firmly packed. During landing at about 2 ft AGL, helicopter began to create a dust storm. During high reconnaissance the area had been checked clear of people and vehicles. On departure, area had been cleared again, but upon liftoff a car had approached from behind potentially getting dusted. The car was not moving, but could have been damaged by the dirt. In the future we have selected a landing site away from roads or public access, and the area will be wet down prior to landing to minimize dust.
