Narrative:
Tower cleared us for immediate takeoff on runway 14R. Upon gear retraction we observed an medium large transport crossing under our nose from left to right in a climbing left hand turn. Captain leveled off and advised tower we'd be maintaining runway heading, clearance called for a right hand turn which would put us with a collision course with the medium large transport. Obviously, the tower did not coordinate with each other when they cleared us and the medium large transport for takeoff.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: FLC OF A WDB ACR ACFT STOPPED THEIR CLB AFTER TKOF AND DID NOT TURN AS ASSIGNED DUE TO ANOTHER ACFT OBSERVED PASSING UNDER THEIR ACFT CLBING OUT FROM AN ADJACENT RWY.
Narrative: TWR CLRED US FOR IMMEDIATE TKOF ON RWY 14R. UPON GEAR RETRACTION WE OBSERVED AN MLG XING UNDER OUR NOSE FROM L TO R IN A CLBING L HAND TURN. CAPT LEVELED OFF AND ADVISED TWR WE'D BE MAINTAINING RWY HDG, CLRNC CALLED FOR A R HAND TURN WHICH WOULD PUT US WITH A COLLISION COURSE WITH THE MLG. OBVIOUSLY, THE TWR DID NOT COORDINATE WITH EACH OTHER WHEN THEY CLRED US AND THE MLG FOR TKOF.
