Narrative:
We had departed runway 4 at lga. Were given a turn to 280 degrees and climb to 15000 ft. TCASII went off at 12500 ft. Saw a twin turboprop commuter in front of us. We descended as TCASII instructed and missed him. Center later gave us a turn to 340 degrees but we told him we had a visual. This happened last may/fri/94 on approach into jfk!
