Narrative:
I was cleared for takeoff on runway 36 at meigs field, chicago, il (cgx) and had made a right turn in the climb (heading 090 degrees) when another aircraft passed directly overhead on a heading of approximately 320 degrees and 200-300 ft above me. My altitude was approximately 1200-1300 ft MSL. Tower controller stated he did not know who the other aircraft was and that he was not talking to him. My clearance was to 2000 ft. Other aircraft was low wing, single engine.
