Narrative:
Inadvertently taxied onto road. Txwys off runway led onto the road with no hold short of road signs of markings on the pavement. Taxied for about 100 ft before realizing not a taxiway and then promptly moved aircraft off into parking (aircraft) area which borders road. Later assessed that those txwys are for aircraft that are hangared across the road. It would be useful to have caution or hold short markings -- something that signifies that road and it should not be used for taxiing.

Title: PVT PLT OF AN SMA SEL ACFT INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ONTO A 'ROAD' AFTER LNDG DUE LACK OF MARKINGS TO THE CONTRARY.
Narrative: INADVERTENTLY TAXIED ONTO ROAD. TXWYS OFF RWY LED ONTO THE ROAD WITH NO HOLD SHORT OF ROAD SIGNS OF MARKINGS ON THE PAVEMENT. TAXIED FOR ABOUT 100 FT BEFORE REALIZING NOT A TXWY AND THEN PROMPTLY MOVED ACFT OFF INTO PARKING (ACFT) AREA WHICH BORDERS ROAD. LATER ASSESSED THAT THOSE TXWYS ARE FOR ACFT THAT ARE HANGARED ACROSS THE ROAD. IT WOULD BE USEFUL TO HAVE CAUTION OR HOLD SHORT MARKINGS -- SOMETHING THAT SIGNIFIES THAT ROAD AND IT SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR TAXIING.
