Narrative:

I was PIC on flight, service from mvy to bos. At approximately XA25 pm, the top half of the passenger door popped open. Our position was approximately 15 DME sse of boston at an altitude of 2500 ft. The WX was VFR. I reviewed the emergency checklist and slowed the aircraft to 120 KIAS. I then requested priority with boston approach with who I was working prior to the door opening. I then briefed hya operations and proceeded to brief the 8 passenger on board. We landed uneventfully at boston. The aircraft was written up, squawked for the door and later returned to service.
