Narrative:
TCASII TA 'traffic, traffic' followed by RA 'climb, climb' and vertical guidance to climb at 2000 FPM. This was accomplished and resulted in an altitude deviation of plus 400 ft to 37400 ft. Before TCASII advised 'clear of traffic,' ATC controller was advised and he told us traffic was an fgt climbing to FL350. ATC did not advise of traffic prior to our inquiry. The conflicting traffic was visually acquired after the initial TCASII advisory and I felt the guidance was appropriate. The fgt must have had a very high rate of climb to trigger TCASII.

Title: AN ACR WDB CLBED IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII COMMAND.
Narrative: TCASII TA 'TFC, TFC' FOLLOWED BY RA 'CLB, CLB' AND VERT GUIDANCE TO CLB AT 2000 FPM. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND RESULTED IN AN ALTDEV OF PLUS 400 FT TO 37400 FT. BEFORE TCASII ADVISED 'CLR OF TFC,' ATC CTLR WAS ADVISED AND HE TOLD US TFC WAS AN FGT CLBING TO FL350. ATC DID NOT ADVISE OF TFC PRIOR TO OUR INQUIRY. THE CONFLICTING TFC WAS VISUALLY ACQUIRED AFTER THE INITIAL TCASII ADVISORY AND I FELT THE GUIDANCE WAS APPROPRIATE. THE FGT MUST HAVE HAD A VERY HIGH RATE OF CLB TO TRIGGER TCASII.
