Narrative:
The #2 engine mini turbine was overflown by 110 cycles. Components overflown were the first stage wheel and the second stage wheel. Total time 1157.4 hours and 3110 cycles. These turbine wheels comprise mini-turbine section. I have tracked the life and cycle limited items on a program I helped design for 5 yrs now. The program was written on lotus 123 series 2.01. Recently, the company upgraded to lotus series 3.1. Since then, I have had a lot of problems with my computer in this program. Obviously, I have not paid proper attention to the life and cycle limited parts program. Since this occurrence, our new parts coordinator is undertaking the task of updating and printing weekly status reports of the aircraft cycle and life limited components. Copies are sent to each aircraft crew, the director of maintenance and also posted under the aircraft inspection status board. We are currently looking at different computer programs that are more comprehensive.
