Narrative:
I was landing after a test flight in an small aircraft, single engine aircraft. Everything appeared to be normal. I put the landing gear in the down position and I had 3 green lights indicating that all 3 landing gear were down and locked. I suspected nothing. When I landed the main wheels lightly touched the ground. When the nosewheel touched the ground, the aircraft veered hard to the right. I tried to steer the aircraft back to the center of the runway but I had no control over the nosewheel steering. I felt like the nose gear was in danger of collapsing so I pulled the mixture handle out but the engine was not stopped completely when suddenly the nose gear collapsed. The ctring pin in the nose gear was found to have been broken. When the landing gear was retracted the nose gear retracted, turned to the right and, in the wheel well, broke the locking bracket that holds the gear in the down and locked position. This aircraft is a seized united states marshall's airplane that had not flown in about 7 yrs. The plane had been trucked from atlanta, GA, to brunswick, GA, for storage.

Title: NOSE GEAR COLLAPSE ON LNDG.
Narrative: I WAS LNDG AFTER A TEST FLT IN AN SMA, SINGLE ENG ACFT. EVERYTHING APPEARED TO BE NORMAL. I PUT THE LNDG GEAR IN THE DOWN POS AND I HAD 3 GREEN LIGHTS INDICATING THAT ALL 3 LNDG GEAR WERE DOWN AND LOCKED. I SUSPECTED NOTHING. WHEN I LANDED THE MAIN WHEELS LIGHTLY TOUCHED THE GND. WHEN THE NOSEWHEEL TOUCHED THE GND, THE ACFT VEERED HARD TO THE R. I TRIED TO STEER THE ACFT BACK TO THE CTR OF THE RWY BUT I HAD NO CTL OVER THE NOSEWHEEL STEERING. I FELT LIKE THE NOSE GEAR WAS IN DANGER OF COLLAPSING SO I PULLED THE MIXTURE HANDLE OUT BUT THE ENG WAS NOT STOPPED COMPLETELY WHEN SUDDENLY THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED. THE CTRING PIN IN THE NOSE GEAR WAS FOUND TO HAVE BEEN BROKEN. WHEN THE LNDG GEAR WAS RETRACTED THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTED, TURNED TO THE R AND, IN THE WHEEL WELL, BROKE THE LOCKING BRACKET THAT HOLDS THE GEAR IN THE DOWN AND LOCKED POS. THIS ACFT IS A SEIZED UNITED STATES MARSHALL'S AIRPLANE THAT HAD NOT FLOWN IN ABOUT 7 YRS. THE PLANE HAD BEEN TRUCKED FROM ATLANTA, GA, TO BRUNSWICK, GA, FOR STORAGE.
