Narrative:
Flight departed mht at XA32 am local. While in cruise at FL280 about 20 NM east of hnk VOR, the outer center windshield started cracking. We declared an emergency requesting descent to 12000 ft. ATC granted our request of 12000 ft. We complied with all instructions in our pilot's handbook and fom, proceeding direct routing to pit for an uneventful landing. No conflict of traffic was encountered on our descent.

Narrative: FLT DEPARTED MHT AT XA32 AM LCL. WHILE IN CRUISE AT FL280 ABOUT 20 NM E OF HNK VOR, THE OUTER CTR WINDSHIELD STARTED CRACKING. WE DECLARED AN EMER REQUESTING DSCNT TO 12000 FT. ATC GRANTED OUR REQUEST OF 12000 FT. WE COMPLIED WITH ALL INSTRUCTIONS IN OUR PLT'S HANDBOOK AND FOM, PROCEEDING DIRECT ROUTING TO PIT FOR AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG. NO CONFLICT OF TFC WAS ENCOUNTERED ON OUR DSCNT.
