Narrative:
While attempting a maneuver past 2 other aircraft that were improperly parked on a small ramp space, I elected to taxi the left main gear off the paved area onto what appeared to be solid ground. However, there was a sink hole/spring area that caused a hidden mud bog. We were stuck within 2 ft of taxiing, 8 inches off the paved ramp. A tractor pulled us out. Our newly revised SOP's policy will be 'no taxiing of aircraft on sod or grass, only on hard paved surfaces.' aircraft received no known or visible damage.
