Narrative:
TCASII RA at 24000 ft. Target descending on a collision course. TCASII commanded a 200 FPM descent. Center was very slow in advising of traffic, and gave no commands to us to avoid the RA. Returned to FL240 after descending to 23300. Center was noncommittal and too casual.

Title: ALTDEV EXCURSION FROM ASSIGNED IN FLC RESPONSE TO TCASII RA.
Narrative: TCASII RA AT 24000 FT. TARGET DSNDING ON A COLLISION COURSE. TCASII COMMANDED A 200 FPM DSCNT. CTR WAS VERY SLOW IN ADVISING OF TFC, AND GAVE NO COMMANDS TO US TO AVOID THE RA. RETURNED TO FL240 AFTER DSNDING TO 23300. CTR WAS NONCOMMITTAL AND TOO CASUAL.
