Narrative:
Dfw airport, taxiing south on the inner taxiway for runway 18L/36R. I was cleared to taxiway 31, expect departure from this intersection. As I approached 29, the controller asked if I wished to depart from this point. My reply was asking for the length from this point. He replied 7200 ft. At this time I was arriving at 29 and was cleared for takeoff. After departing the traffic pattern and turned over to ZFW, I was asked to contact the dfw chief on duty, at my next point of landing. I was informed I had departed from a taxiway. I do not remember this action. The dfw chief informed me this same thing occurred a few weeks before. If I did this, I do not know why, and why I did not catch it. Contributing factors: long day on my part. Haste to depart, and finish the day. Controller clearing for departure from inner taxiway.
