Narrative:
After parking at gate at msp I was advised to report for a random drug test. The notification came approximately 5 mins after block-in and after I had emptied my bladder. Prior to reporting to the drug testing site I stopped at my supervisor's office to advise him that I had not been advised of the random drug test early enough to prevent me from emptying my bladder after block-in. My supervisor was not in, but several members of his staff heard my story and specifically advised me to disregard the drug test notice. I then went home. A few hours later I received a call from my supervisor advising me that I had 'no showed' the drug test and I was to report to a local medical clinic for another drug test. I complied with his request. In my opinion this incident occurred because of 2 reasons: 1) I was not advised of the random drug test in a timely manner 2) my supervisor's staff should not have told me to disregard the notification for the drug test.
