After takeoff and gear retraction right gear door unlock indicated not locked. Aircraft flight manual procedures were followed and indicated that the gear door uplock latch was not locked. After consulting with dispatcher we diverted to most suitable airport, phl. Normal approach landing and taxi-in. No emergency declared. On gear extension received all green lights and no caution lights. Suspect problem was dirt/contamination on uplock latch.
