Narrative:
Txk radar was taken OTS twice over a 2 min period for about 20 seconds each occurrence. I notified the supervisor after the second occurrence, and, after consulting with the area manager, told me the outages were planned. The amic failed to notify the supervisor and myself. Unknown if any problems in other sectors. No potential loss of separation in my sector.
