Narrative:
We started the takeoff roll when (captain on throttles) the takeoff warning horn went off. We aborted and exited the runway. I ran the after landing checklist. The captain taxied for another takeoff. I recommended we go to the gate and call maintenance. I ran the before takeoff and takeoff checklist and we attempted another takeoff, again we got the takeoff warning horn. I then told the captain that we needed to go to the gate and write this up and that we should have done this on the first abort. I then told him about a letter that was sent from pilot's union concerning just the same events that had taken place, and what we should do to protect ourselves from the FAA. Captain said that he had not read the letter and was not aware of any problem concerning aborted takeoff. Maintenance came up to cvg and we ferried the plane back to clt.
