Narrative:

Our departure instructions for runway 13R from jfk tower were to turn left heading 110 degrees and climb to 5000 ft. According to our B727 special noise abatement procedures (pg 20-od) when departure is made from runway 13R, we are to begin turns at approximately 100- 200 ft AGL to avoid flying over noise monitors. At approximately 200 ft AGL, I began a left turn towards 110 degrees. The tower then told us to delay our turn until passing the field boundary due to traffic departing runway 13L. So I maintained runway heading until the field boundary and then turned left to 110 degrees. We were slightly to the left of centerline on runway 13R, and well to the right of runway 13L. By waiting until the field boundary prior to turning to 110 degrees, there is a very good chance we may have flown over the noise monitor off the end of runway 13L.

Title: WHEN TOLD TO TURN L AFTER TKOF, ACFT TURNED SOONER THAN CTLR EXPECTED.

Narrative: OUR DEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR RWY 13R FROM JFK TWR WERE TO TURN L HDG 110 DEGS AND CLB TO 5000 FT. ACCORDING TO OUR B727 SPECIAL NOISE ABATEMENT PROCS (PG 20-OD) WHEN DEP IS MADE FROM RWY 13R, WE ARE TO BEGIN TURNS AT APPROX 100- 200 FT AGL TO AVOID FLYING OVER NOISE MONITORS. AT APPROX 200 FT AGL, I BEGAN A L TURN TOWARDS 110 DEGS. THE TWR THEN TOLD US TO DELAY OUR TURN UNTIL PASSING THE FIELD BOUNDARY DUE TO TFC DEPARTING RWY 13L. SO I MAINTAINED RWY HDG UNTIL THE FIELD BOUNDARY AND THEN TURNED L TO 110 DEGS. WE WERE SLIGHTLY TO THE L OF CTRLINE ON RWY 13R, AND WELL TO THE R OF RWY 13L. BY WAITING UNTIL THE FIELD BOUNDARY PRIOR TO TURNING TO 110 DEGS, THERE IS A VERY GOOD CHANCE WE MAY HAVE FLOWN OVER THE NOISE MONITOR OFF THE END OF RWY 13L.
