Narrative:
I was giving an instructional flight to a single, multi-engine instrument rated pilot working on his commercial license. We were in comanche X and we almost landed on top of grumman Y. My student was practicing short and soft field takeoff and lndgs. We were executing a short field landing over a 50 ft obstacle and were cleared for a touch-and-go on runway 26R. As we approached the runway threshold I looked at the imaginary obstacle location and then the altimeter. We were passing through approximately 620 ft MSL (94 ft AGL). Seconds later my student initiated a go around because of traffic immediately below and left of us preparing to land on runway 26R. As we were offsetting to avoid traffic, the tower controller said to 'go around' to which my student replied 'got em.'

Title: ACFT X HAD NMAC WITH ACFT Y LNDG ON WRONG RWY. EVASIVE ACTION TAKEN. SEE AND AVOID CONCEPT.
Narrative: I WAS GIVING AN INSTRUCTIONAL FLT TO A SINGLE, MULTI-ENG INST RATED PLT WORKING ON HIS COMMERCIAL LICENSE. WE WERE IN COMANCHE X AND WE ALMOST LANDED ON TOP OF GRUMMAN Y. MY STUDENT WAS PRACTICING SHORT AND SOFT FIELD TKOF AND LNDGS. WE WERE EXECUTING A SHORT FIELD LNDG OVER A 50 FT OBSTACLE AND WERE CLRED FOR A TOUCH-AND-GO ON RWY 26R. AS WE APCHED THE RWY THRESHOLD I LOOKED AT THE IMAGINARY OBSTACLE LOCATION AND THEN THE ALTIMETER. WE WERE PASSING THROUGH APPROX 620 FT MSL (94 FT AGL). SECONDS LATER MY STUDENT INITIATED A GAR BECAUSE OF TFC IMMEDIATELY BELOW AND L OF US PREPARING TO LAND ON RWY 26R. AS WE WERE OFFSETTING TO AVOID TFC, THE TWR CTLR SAID TO 'GAR' TO WHICH MY STUDENT REPLIED 'GOT EM.'
