Narrative:
Taxiing to active runway. While performing taxi checklists, lax tower cleared our aircraft to position and hold north runway 24R. The captain taxied onto and held on runway 24L. We then made an attempt to confirm runway clearance, but could not due to congested frequency. At this point ATC cleared an aircraft to land on runway 24L. ATC advised the traffic to go around and we were then instructed to taxi clear of runway 24L. No incident occurred and we were then cleared for takeoff runway 24L. I was the PNF and read back the initial clearance correct. Supplemental information from acn 265717: frequency very busy, I couldn't confirm assigned runway.

Narrative: TAXIING TO ACTIVE RWY. WHILE PERFORMING TAXI CHKLISTS, LAX TWR CLRED OUR ACFT TO POS AND HOLD N RWY 24R. THE CAPT TAXIED ONTO AND HELD ON RWY 24L. WE THEN MADE AN ATTEMPT TO CONFIRM RWY CLRNC, BUT COULD NOT DUE TO CONGESTED FREQ. AT THIS POINT ATC CLRED AN ACFT TO LAND ON RWY 24L. ATC ADVISED THE TFC TO GAR AND WE WERE THEN INSTRUCTED TO TAXI CLR OF RWY 24L. NO INCIDENT OCCURRED AND WE WERE THEN CLRED FOR TKOF RWY 24L. I WAS THE PNF AND READ BACK THE INITIAL CLRNC CORRECT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION FROM ACN 265717: FREQ VERY BUSY, I COULDN'T CONFIRM ASSIGNED RWY.
