Narrative:
I didn't realize my GS was out on my VOR/ILS instrument, and didn't note the locator OM. I had my ADF tuned to the correct station, but didn't note the LOM and didn't descend in time. I went around and was 3/4 mi from runway 35L, much too high (8100 instead of 6250 ft). I went around again, noted the hdb LOM, descended, had the ground in sight, did not keep adequate positional awareness and was unsure of where the runway environment would be in front of me, descended, unintentionally to 100 ft AGL with the ground in sight, added power when they told me an 'altitude alert, go around.' the tower told me again to go around and I saw the runway environment at that point, notified cos tower and they instructed me to land and contact the supervisor. I realize I broke the MDA and that IFR brush up work wouldn't hurt anything. I made it safely to the ground without interference involving other aircraft. I needed to keep better positional awareness. I need to make smaller bank corrections. I need to study approach plates more carefully before initiating approachs. I need to check my instruments more carefully before relying on a faulty GS.

Title: NOVICE PLT IN CONFLICT WITH THE UNIVERSE. NON ADHERENCE TO ATC PROC DURING IAP ILS APCH.
Narrative: I DIDN'T REALIZE MY GS WAS OUT ON MY VOR/ILS INST, AND DIDN'T NOTE THE LOCATOR OM. I HAD MY ADF TUNED TO THE CORRECT STATION, BUT DIDN'T NOTE THE LOM AND DIDN'T DSND IN TIME. I WENT AROUND AND WAS 3/4 MI FROM RWY 35L, MUCH TOO HIGH (8100 INSTEAD OF 6250 FT). I WENT AROUND AGAIN, NOTED THE HDB LOM, DSNDED, HAD THE GND IN SIGHT, DID NOT KEEP ADEQUATE POSITIONAL AWARENESS AND WAS UNSURE OF WHERE THE RWY ENVIRONMENT WOULD BE IN FRONT OF ME, DSNDED, UNINTENTIONALLY TO 100 FT AGL WITH THE GND IN SIGHT, ADDED PWR WHEN THEY TOLD ME AN 'ALT ALERT, GAR.' THE TWR TOLD ME AGAIN TO GAR AND I SAW THE RWY ENVIRONMENT AT THAT POINT, NOTIFIED COS TWR AND THEY INSTRUCTED ME TO LAND AND CONTACT THE SUPVR. I REALIZE I BROKE THE MDA AND THAT IFR BRUSH UP WORK WOULDN'T HURT ANYTHING. I MADE IT SAFELY TO THE GND WITHOUT INTERFERENCE INVOLVING OTHER ACFT. I NEEDED TO KEEP BETTER POSITIONAL AWARENESS. I NEED TO MAKE SMALLER BANK CORRECTIONS. I NEED TO STUDY APCH PLATES MORE CAREFULLY BEFORE INITIATING APCHS. I NEED TO CHK MY INSTS MORE CAREFULLY BEFORE RELYING ON A FAULTY GS.
