Narrative:
Made 2 gars at alb, runway 1. The first, we were high due to vectoring. On final, high and 15-20 KTS fast, and was not going to land in the touchdown zone and went around. Made left pattern and on base noticed that it seemed we were getting blown across the ground. On final we were high and not going to land in the touchdown zone, and went around again and came back and landed. Taxiing in, tower asked if the go around was due to approach control and WX. We asked what did she mean by WX? She said they just found out there was a 20 KT wind at 2000 ft (tailwind?). The wind at the airport was calm.
