Narrative:

During climb out, discussion of possible WX encounter ahead and changing altitude to 12 or 14000 ft resulted in a climb through the assigned altitude of 10000 ft. A recovery was completed without exceeding 10300 ft. There was no query from ATC and flight was continued. Prior to this, flight crew duty was 35 hours in the previous 58 hours. Flight time for the period was 13 1/10 hours. 5 hours of duty and 4 hours of flight still remained on the day of the incident. Supplemental information from acn 273367: I believe the extreme amount of duty time in 3 days played a large role in the altitude deviation.
