Narrative:
Preflight normal on flight. After starting and taxiing out for takeoff leaving ramp for T2 prior to E2, became aware of a loose cowl latch on left engine. Advised ground we would return to the gate. After parking at gate maintenance came out and secured latch. Signed off the paperwork and started back out.

Narrative: PREFLT NORMAL ON FLT. AFTER STARTING AND TAXIING OUT FOR TKOF LEAVING RAMP FOR T2 PRIOR TO E2, BECAME AWARE OF A LOOSE COWL LATCH ON L ENG. ADVISED GND WE WOULD RETURN TO THE GATE. AFTER PARKING AT GATE MAINT CAME OUT AND SECURED LATCH. SIGNED OFF THE PAPERWORK AND STARTED BACK OUT.
