Narrative:

Our flight was cleared to taxi to runway 27. We departed ramp area on taxiway B across runway 5/23 (with specific clearance to cross). Made a left turn onto taxiway B1 en route to the takeoff end of runway 27. (Taxiway B1 would merge with taxiway a). Taxiway B1 and taxiway K were restr to aircraft weight of 60000 pounds or less by a note on the airport diagram which I failed to notice. The aircraft weight was approximately 80000 pounds. The aircraft made it past the taxiway area with no problem or incident. The ground controller commented on the situation. I recommend that taxi clearance to this runway, given to aircraft greater than 60000 pounds, be specific as to which route to follow, instead of the common clearance to taxi to runway 27 for takeoff.

Title: MLG TAXIED OVERWT FOR TXWY.

Narrative: OUR FLT WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 27. WE DEPARTED RAMP AREA ON TXWY B ACROSS RWY 5/23 (WITH SPECIFIC CLRNC TO CROSS). MADE A L TURN ONTO TXWY B1 ENRTE TO THE TKOF END OF RWY 27. (TXWY B1 WOULD MERGE WITH TXWY A). TXWY B1 AND TXWY K WERE RESTR TO ACFT WT OF 60000 LBS OR LESS BY A NOTE ON THE ARPT DIAGRAM WHICH I FAILED TO NOTICE. THE ACFT WT WAS APPROX 80000 LBS. THE ACFT MADE IT PAST THE TXWY AREA WITH NO PROB OR INCIDENT. THE GND CTLR COMMENTED ON THE SIT. I RECOMMEND THAT TAXI CLRNC TO THIS RWY, GIVEN TO ACFT GREATER THAN 60000 LBS, BE SPECIFIC AS TO WHICH RTE TO FOLLOW, INSTEAD OF THE COMMON CLRNC TO TAXI TO RWY 27 FOR TKOF.
