Narrative:

I was not familiar enough with the airport. Just purchased aircraft--not familiar with avionics layout and how communications worked. While taxiing to runway, distracted by individual pointing to a wing seal out of place--not detrimental to flight. Taxiway was parallel to runway and it was wide and long enough to be runway.
