Narrative:
En route from ric to iad, the flap indicator creeped back from 0 degrees to 10 degrees with the flap selector in the 0 degree detent position. Flaps were visually inspected up. An emergency was declared and a flapless landing was conducted. QRH checklist items were reviewed, passenger briefed. Maintenance was notified. All procedures were followed with no further incident.

Title: FLC OF AN MDT DECLARED AN EMER AND LANDED WITH NO FLAPS DETECTING AN ERRONEOUS FLAP POS INDICATION (UNWARRANTED).
Narrative: ENRTE FROM RIC TO IAD, THE FLAP INDICATOR CREEPED BACK FROM 0 DEGS TO 10 DEGS WITH THE FLAP SELECTOR IN THE 0 DEG DETENT POS. FLAPS WERE VISUALLY INSPECTED UP. AN EMER WAS DECLARED AND A FLAPLESS LNDG WAS CONDUCTED. QRH CHKLIST ITEMS WERE REVIEWED, PAX BRIEFED. MAINT WAS NOTIFIED. ALL PROCS WERE FOLLOWED WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
