Narrative:

This is not a flight incident. All I did was that I crossed an active runway with an automobile to the other side. I did it by pure human mistake. It was too late to turn back when I found out that the active runway continued on. No landing aircraft at the time of incident. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states he was driving across the field to inspect a hangar as he had just purchased an aircraft and wanted to locate a place to house it. He had not been to this airport before and was unaware of the parallel runways. He did stop and look at the tower prior to crossing the first runway, but saw no light. Stopped again when he realized there was a parallel runway. Checked for traffic then crossed. Local police arrived to talk to him and they apparently reported to the FAA. He has been questioned and told no further action will occur.

Title: PLT DRIVING VEHICLE CROSSES RWY WITHOUT CLRNC OR CONTACT WITH ATC.

Narrative: THIS IS NOT A FLT INCIDENT. ALL I DID WAS THAT I CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY WITH AN AUTOMOBILE TO THE OTHER SIDE. I DID IT BY PURE HUMAN MISTAKE. IT WAS TOO LATE TO TURN BACK WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT THE ACTIVE RWY CONTINUED ON. NO LNDG ACFT AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES HE WAS DRIVING ACROSS THE FIELD TO INSPECT A HANGAR AS HE HAD JUST PURCHASED AN ACFT AND WANTED TO LOCATE A PLACE TO HOUSE IT. HE HAD NOT BEEN TO THIS ARPT BEFORE AND WAS UNAWARE OF THE PARALLEL RWYS. HE DID STOP AND LOOK AT THE TWR PRIOR TO XING THE FIRST RWY, BUT SAW NO LIGHT. STOPPED AGAIN WHEN HE REALIZED THERE WAS A PARALLEL RWY. CHKED FOR TFC THEN CROSSED. LCL POLICE ARRIVED TO TALK TO HIM AND THEY APPARENTLY RPTED TO THE FAA. HE HAS BEEN QUESTIONED AND TOLD NO FURTHER ACTION WILL OCCUR.
