Narrative:
During climb out from msp we were notified by the lead flight attendant of an elderly female passenger in medical distress. A doctor was located on board and we were advised to divert to nearest airport. The captain coordinated the diversion with dispatch and the local station while I declared an emergency with ATC and began the diversion to rst. ATC was extremely helpful and we landed at rst as quickly as possible. The landing was overweight but very smooth and we called for the proper inspections. The passenger was declared dead by paramedics and the doctor on board. After completing the necessary inspections and paperwork we continued the flight.
