Narrative:

After liftoff and with positive climb rate I called for gear up and verified the gear handle was moved to the up position by the PNF. At 400 ft the flaps were retracted and a turn started. Both the PNF and myself were busy clearing the airspace. Aircraft performance seemed normal. After takeoff check was completed. No gear down lights were evident in the bright cockpit during climb, cruise, or descent. On approach to landing when I called for gear down the green gear down lights became immediately evident as the gear handle was placed in the down position. This indicated that the gear was already down. A normal landing followed with a taxi to the gate. After deplaning maintenance was contacted and after placing the aircraft on jacks quickly diagnosed a defective gear handle switch. After replacing the gear handle switch the gear performed normally, on this beechcraft 1900.

Title: BE-1900 FLC FLIES FLT FROM DEP TO DEST ARPT WITH GEAR IN DOWN POS. DIDN'T KNOW IT.

Narrative: AFTER LIFTOFF AND WITH POSITIVE CLB RATE I CALLED FOR GEAR UP AND VERIFIED THE GEAR HANDLE WAS MOVED TO THE UP POS BY THE PNF. AT 400 FT THE FLAPS WERE RETRACTED AND A TURN STARTED. BOTH THE PNF AND MYSELF WERE BUSY CLRING THE AIRSPACE. ACFT PERFORMANCE SEEMED NORMAL. AFTER TKOF CHK WAS COMPLETED. NO GEAR DOWN LIGHTS WERE EVIDENT IN THE BRIGHT COCKPIT DURING CLB, CRUISE, OR DSCNT. ON APCH TO LNDG WHEN I CALLED FOR GEAR DOWN THE GREEN GEAR DOWN LIGHTS BECAME IMMEDIATELY EVIDENT AS THE GEAR HANDLE WAS PLACED IN THE DOWN POS. THIS INDICATED THAT THE GEAR WAS ALREADY DOWN. A NORMAL LNDG FOLLOWED WITH A TAXI TO THE GATE. AFTER DEPLANING MAINT WAS CONTACTED AND AFTER PLACING THE ACFT ON JACKS QUICKLY DIAGNOSED A DEFECTIVE GEAR HANDLE SWITCH. AFTER REPLACING THE GEAR HANDLE SWITCH THE GEAR PERFORMED NORMALLY, ON THIS BEECHCRAFT 1900.
